Canopy walkway

Built in the early 1990’s for scientists to study epiphytes, the canopy walkway is a series of suspension bridges that rise to a height of more than 120 feet. They are connected by platforms on the trees. They are no wider than a ladder and they shake and sway when two people are on them. Not for those afraid of heights.

The Amazon

In the Amazon everything depends on the river. River people live in poverty by our standards but Cesar, who grew up on the river, says they are happy. The water is high, which means soon they will be flooded and have to move to higher ground.
